Notice

Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Oleaceae

A family of some 29 genera and 600 species of trees, shrubs and climbers from around the world, but especially Asia and Malesia.  [FNSW].  The family contains a large number of ornamental garden plants and at least one species of great economic importance, the Olive.  Represented in the Hortus by a wide range of ornamentals and by Olives.
