Oxalidaceae
Perennial herbs, often cormous or tuberous-rooted, with 6 genera and some 950 species, mainly from South Africa and Central and South America. [FNSW]. Represented in the Hortus by ornamental species popular in the Victorian era. Several have become naturalised in the gardens and locally, including one species, Oxalis pes-caprae, which is a major weed in Australia.
