Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Polyosma cunninghamii Benn.

Frost hardy small tree with opposite, elliptic leaves, to 10cm long, irregularly and coarsely toothed, and racemes of tubular flowers with spreading tips, to 1cm long, in spring and summer.  To 15m. [FNSW, Beadle].

Listed in the 1850 and 18957 catalogues [T.775/1850].  Occurs naturally in sub-tropical and warm temperate rainforest on the coast and nearby plateaus north from Batemans Bay, including in the Illawarra region and was probably collected by Macarthur [FNSW].
