Notice

Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Passiflora ‘Floribunda Minor’

Camden Park hybrid, Passiflora kermisina x Passiflora caerulea.  I have found no specific description but it was probably very similar to Passiflora ‘Floribunda' which see.

History at Camden Park

Camden-bred hybrid, Passiflora kermisina x Passiflora caerulea, sent to Loddiges’ nursery on 1st February, 1849: ‘The two varieties named floribunda and floribunda minor are fine and quite distinct from their parents.  The other three which have only numbers attached are also pretty but differ too little from Kermesina.  If you consider them worth attention be good enough to name them as Camden hybrids.’  [MP A2933-1, p.185].
