Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

The only description I have found to date is in Latin in the Flora Brasiliensis by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius, August Wilhelm Eichler, and Ignatz Urban, vol.14, part 2, p.134/1840-1906.

Listed in the 1850 and 1857 catalogues [T.434/1850].  Obtained from Kew Gardens, brought out from England by Captain P. P. King in 1849.  Macarthur believed that it was new to the colony.  [ML A1980-3].
