Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Poaceae

A family of annual or perennial grasses of some 700 genera and 10,000 species worldwide.  The family contains many species of immense economic importance, both as cereal crops and forage crops.  [FNSW].  Represented in the Hortus by a single ornamental grass.  Sometimes called Gramineae.
