Aloaceae
A family of 5 genera and some 700 species of trees shrubs and succulents with a rhizomatous rootstock, from Africa, Arabia and associated islands. Closely allied to, and sometimes included in Liliaceae. Represented in the Hortus by a single ornamental succulent.
