History at Camden Park
The only reference is a handwritten note in an 1850 catalogue in the Mitchell Library collection. [MP A2947A]. It is probable that this plant was grown at this time.
Notes
Perhaps a more likely identification is a white form of a species such as austriacum or perenne, or, most likely, grandiflorum, a very variable species which see. A modern white cultivar is ‘Bright eyes’, with brownish-red eyes. [RHSE, Hortus].
