Oncidium leucochilum Batem. ex Lindl.

Frost-tender epiphytic orchid with very long, branching and pendulous flower spikes, to 3m long, and small, yellow-green flowers with dark brown markings and a white lip, in spring and summer. [RHSD, Hortus, Jennings].

According to Johnson’s Dictionary introduced to Britain in 1835.  MB p.241/1840.  FS f.522/1849.  Bateman pl.1/1837-43.

History at Camden Park

Listed in the 1850 and 1857 catalogues [O.44/1850].  Requested from Loddiges’ Nursery on 1st February, 1849 [MP A2933-2, p.28] and obtained from them, brought out from England by Captain P. P. King in that year.  [ML A1980-3].
