Ipomoea hederacea Jacq. var. dillenii

Annual climber with cordate, 3-lobed leaves and blue or pale purple flowers.  [RHSD. Hortus].  I have been unable to discover how dillenii differs from the type.  See also Ipomoea hederacea Jacq.

Seed order to Hurst and McMullen, Seedsmen and Florists of London, on 8th April 1846.  [MP A2933-1, p.132]. 

Notes

Pharbitis dillenii G.Don (1838), Ipomoea bicolor Lam. (syn.), described from the tropics of Africa, may be the same plant.
