Horticultural & Botanical History
‘This beautiful Veronica is well worthy of all that has been said of it. By the first week of August it had become a handsome specimen, three feet in height, with branches regularly developed from the pot upwards. I know of no autumn-flowering plant that possesses so many recommendations as this, and it is of such easy culture that any one may grow it.’ [Gard. Chron. 1852]. Bred by Anderson of Murrayfield, Edinburgh, c.1845. [PFG pl.54/1853]. FS f.658/1851.
