Spider orchid, grows in well drained sandy areas, the leaves to 15cm and flower spikes to 30cm, the flowers large, cream, whitish or pale yellow, sometimes with red markings. [Jones, FNSW].

Listed in the 1850 and 1857 catalogues as Orchid no.7 [O.53/1850] and Orchid no.11 [O.54/1850]. Collected at Nangus in southern NSW, a Macarthur family grazing property.
