Magnoliaceae
A family of 7-12 genera and up to 225 species, depending on the classification system. Shrubs and trees widely spread in sub-tropical and temperate regions from Asia to the Pacific Islands and the Americas. Represented in the Hortus by a number of ornamental species of Magnolia in particular.
