Notice

Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Annonaceae

A family of some 120 genera and 2100 species of trees, shrubs or climbers, mainly from tropical regions, particularly Africa to Asia.  [FNSW].  A number of species are grown for their edible fruit.  Represented in the Hortus by 5 species of tree, including plants of some economic importance for their fruit.
