Aizoaceae
A family of some 140 genera and 2300 species of usually succulent annual and perennial herbs and shrubs, chiefly from Africa, but also found in America and Australia. [FNSW]. Represented in the Hortus by a number of ornamentals from south Africa. But the family also contains the rare Australian genus Macarthuria, named for Sir William Macarthur.
