Notice

Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Sapotaceae

A family of up to 75 genera and 800 species of shrubs and trees, widespread in tropical regions.  A number of species are of some economic importance for timber or fruit.  [FNSW].  Represented in the Hortus by 3 species, 2 of which are of some utility for timber or fruit.
