Juglandaceae

A family of 6 genera and some 40 species of shrubs and trees from northern temperate regions.  A number of species are of economic significance for timber or oil-rich seeds, such as the Walnut.  [RHSD].  Represented in the Hortus by 2 nut-bearing species.
