Mimulus ‘Jeffryi’

Probably a Mimulus hybrid or cultivar, perhaps one of the ‘still more beautiful varieties’ mentioned in The Gardeners’ Chronicle.  [Gard. Chron. 1852].  I have found no description.

The image depicts a number of cultivars of Mimulus in shades of red and yellow. Curtis's Botanical Magazine t.5478, 1864.

Mimulus varieties | BM t.5478/1864 | BHL.  Jeffryi probably looked like one of these.
