(Gladiolus x colvilli) x (Gladiolus x gandavensis) hybrid, no.6 in Macarthur’s notebook no.5 in an entry dated 1846. ‘Very robust scape, flowers smallish and of middling shape, colour bright pink, with carmine yellow-brown on lower lobes, beautiful in colour but shape and size inferior.’ [MP A2948-5].
