Notice

Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Polygonaceae

A family of some 40 genera and 800 species of annual or perennial herbs, shrubs or climbers, especially from the Northern Hemisphere.  A number of species are of economic importance, particularly as food crops.  [FNSW].  Represented in the Hortus by a number of ornamental flowering plants and also by one food plant, Rhubarb.
