Notice

Colin Mills, compiler of the Hortus Camdenensis, died in late November 2012 after a short illness. As he always considered the Hortus his legacy, it is his family's intention to keep the site running in perpetuity. It will not, however, be updated in the near future.

Phormiaceae

A family of some 8 genera and 30 species of herbs or sub-shrubs from Africa, through South East Asia, the Pacific Islands, Australia to South America.  It contains one species, the New Zealand Flax, of some economic importance.  [FNSW].  Represented in the Hortus by the New Zealand Flax.
